Meet the coachES

Coach Meg Dudek is the founder of field hockey in Loudoun County which started as a recreational league in 2006.  Since then, field hockey has grown exponentially including getting the sport added as a VHSL-sanctioned sport for all Loudoun high schools as of 2016.  Dudek has coached players of all ages since 2001 including youth, recreational, and high school programs both in Fairfax and Loudoun counties and the USAFH Nexus programs where she was a Site Administrator and Head Goalie Coach for seven years.  After seven years as an assistant/goalie coach at Herndon High School, Dudek moved to Broad Run High School where she launched the field hockey program as head coach in 2016 and helmed for the past nine seasons.  She has also been coaching with Hammers Field Hockey since 2011 having worked with U12s through U19s both as a head coach and a goalie coach.  Dudek holds a Level II Coaching Certification from USA Field Hockey, is a Coach Mentor for the National Field Hockey Coaches Association since 2022, and is a goalie for the USA Masters women's team where she earned six international caps last November.

Christy Berman

Coach Christy Berman began coaching field hockey while playing goalie in high school, working with elementary school players in her hometown of Virginia Beach. She continued to play in college. After moving to Northern Virginia, she coached in the inaugural season of the Loudoun Field Hockey Association in 2006. She has been Assistant Coach at Broad Run High School for the past seven seasons, specializing in goalie coaching. She coached two goalies at Broad Run who went on to play for college teams, the District Player of the Year in 2021, and three goalies who were selected to an All-District Team. She has also coached goalies at several developmental programs and clinics in Northern Virginia, including Hammers Field Hockey and Nexus. Coach Berman holds a Level 1 Coaching Certification from USA Field Hockey and has attended the National Coaching Conference. Coach Berman empowers her players for success by fostering a culture of teamwork, discipline, and continuous improvement, both on and off the field.
